However, for those of you who like freebies there will be "blog candy" if you follow and comment on each posting and leave a comment with "your best organizational tip" your name will entered in a random drawing to win a $25.00 gift card from Michaels!!! Winner will be announced on Tuesday 1/24/12
Ready, Set, Go!

My craft room a.k.a My Happy Place :)
Super blessed to be able to have a spacious space to do all the things that keep my heart happy...
I had my dad built me this shelf to store my glass, plastic and metal tins! Love it!
My sweet stash of embellishments.  Not sure if you can see my secret stash of Sweet & Salty almond bars too, gotta keep them handy when my bff come's to visit (they are her favorite).
I love this piece so much!  I bought this at Goodwill for about $3.00 and I just love that I can showcase some of my stamps and pictures of my doggies Biscuit & Cookie
This paper organizer has come in handy!  I try to keep it organized by color but it doesn't work out so much!
This small piece I also bought at Goodwill for a few bucks and I showcase all my miniature snow-globes I started collecting a few years ago.
These photo boxes are a great storage solution to store embellishments!
I bought these silver metal tins at an antique store and I use them to store my paper flowers.  The ribbon spool was purchased at Michaels.
I bought this table from someone on Craigslist and painted it white.  My dad found these chairs left over from an estate sale and figured I could do something with them.  You bet I did!  Now its another work station to have friends come by to visit and CReAte WiTh mE!! =)

WOW, I am super jealous of your craft room! My room is small, the office, craft room, kids craft/homework room, etc. but I love it anyway :) My craft tip would be to use velcro for stickels to keep them upside down under the bottom shelf of any shelf you have on the wall. I love it and it works great for me! TFS.

love your space! so bright and pretty! thanks for sharing. my organizational tip is combining all of my embellishments into colors first then theme. it is how I scrap and get so much done quicker.

What a great space! Love all the natural light. My favorite organizational tip is to put things away in labeled containers/cupboards as soon as I bring them home from the store or as soon as I'm done using them. That way they don't get lost in a shuffle of scraps and piles.

Lovely room. That aqua is gorgeous.
You have done a great job of making your room look inviting yet organized!

My organizational tip is to stamp off your stamp images onto cardstock. I stamp them off by theme. I then store these images in a binder that is tabbed by theme. The wooden stamps are then stored in iris carts by theme.
It is so much quicker to find an image this way as I have layers of stamps in my iris carts. I got this tip from the WookieMouse organizational challenge on Two Peas.

Love your Craft Room. Very spacious and well organized. Really like all the windows and light, great for crafting. One of my favorite tips is hang an over the door shelf (used for Dorms) or shoe holder for little things...i.e. Stamps, Punches, Embellishments, etc. Makes things easy to see and access.

Have a great weekend! Thanks for sharing your space and great ideas.

I LOVE your craft room! What an awesome oasis to create in! TFS and for having this fabulous hop! I am LITERALLY in the middle of redoing my office/crafty space and this couldn't come at a better time :) My tip is to be sure you organize your space based on how YOU create-not anyone else. If you look for color and then theme (like me) then store your items that way- If you tend to keep collections of companies together, then store them that way.. It is really helpful when you have time to crop to have that already accomplished so you can go straight to the fun stuff! I am a new follower and would be honored if you could come by my blog and do the same at ACreativeJourneywithMelissa dot blogspot.com. Have a wonderful day!

I love your colors! I do not have a craft room so i can't keep my stuff all neat like you. I do keep my ribons in clear plastic show boxes so I can see them. They are organized by color and I also have special Christmas and Fall ribon boxes. Thnking of doing the same for my flowers because they are all hanging on my Clip it up now and I need to make space for other embellishments on there.

I like the rack for the paper. I need something like that. What I like to do is separate the scrap paper by color and size, that way I could go directly to what I need.

Ahh, love this bright cheery room. My craft tip would be to make sure you organize your photos, what use is scrapbooking if you can't find your photos? I keep my printed photos in a photo/shoebox I got from Joanns that I sort by theme. I also sort my digital files once a month and remember to back them up on a separate drive.

I meant to also post that I am a new follower and my best tip is to use Goo Gone which you can buy at most Dollar Trees to remove glue from your mats and scissors. I know it's not organizing but it does come in handy.

Ellen Jarvis said...

Totally gorgeous room! I too love the color you've picked with the white offset. I have a large, lovely room but I am hampered by having "inherited" an old plaid couch and leather recliner, both in "boy" colors (navy and cranberry). They take up an awful lot of space that I'd rather have "working" for me. The other thing I HATE about my space is that it has wall to wall carpeting, covered by an oriental rug that matches the navy/cran furniture. It's hard to see stuff that falls on the floor, and also hard to keep clean. And I have a mish-mash of tables and chairs. On the other hand -- I DO have a great space with good organizational features. My newest one will get my nod here: I bought a revolving desktop storage thingie at Staples that can hold folders AND scissors, etc. In my folders, I keep all my digi-stamped images that I've either colored or are waiting to color. I can also keep the latest copy of PaperCrafts mag, etc.

Thank you for the opportunity to win a GC from my favorite scrapping store, Michael's!

This space is georgeous! Love the colors, the print on the pillows and charirs...I really love the two different colored chairs... You have such a view and it really looks cozy in the near dark picture... As for you scrapping space...Holy Hanna I wouldn't know where to start!! Just trust me when I say it is awesome and I want it, hehe... my biggest tip for organizing which I got from my friend Christina over at card-making-magic.com . Adhere H20 paints, perfect pearls, or pearl ex to a blank CD...You can do 3 of them and store them in the cylinder container it came in.

Naomi Edwards said...

Forgot to mention I am already a follower... and I love the white butterflys in with your stamps and the writing on the wall!!!! Just loveeeeeeeeeeeee it.

Wow what a room! It's huge! Love the colors!

I store my scraps by colors in big plastic sleeves from Cropper Hopper. Then stand them up in a tote. I also cut my scraps into squares or rectangles so they store easy.

Brendanc said...

I love to organize by color(s) when I have extra time. I also keep my projects in folders/storage bags(3 gallon) when going to crops. That way everything is together and I feel like I get more accomplished.

Your workspace is great! I like to use my cricut to create die cuts (I mostly use the Create A Critter cartridge) and then I store them in a binder in baseball card holders. I make a bunch at a time and then later I can go back and grab them to make a quick card.

I love your repurposing...my fave tip on organizing is to use things to display your stuff so you can see what you have. A curtain wire behind my desk allows me to hang my embellies so I can access them easily as I create.

Just found this hop and I love it! It's so great to see what other people do for organization. Thank you for putting this on. You have such a cute and tidy and huge room! Love it!! WOW, Thank you so much for all of your sweet and wonderful comments from all of you. I have been in craft heaven :) Some of you guys had questions for me so I will answer them today.
The verse on my wall says "From a woman's soul, through a woman's eyes by a woman's hands" I found the verse on a magazine and fell in love with it, so I used my Cricut machine to cut out the vinyl letters.
The cupcakes on the 1st tier,I made using styrofoam balls and just painted them and added beads for sprinkles and the 2nd tier cupcakes I made out of paper mache. I made these cupcakes for my Katy Perry Halloween costume. The cupcakes on the 3rd tier were purchased from Michaels the top of the cupcake opens up and you store little embellishments in it.
Again, Thank you so so so much for stoping by and taking the time to follow and comment on our blogs. Please come back and see me again!
Have a blessed day
